What is Compassionate Care?

Caring for another person is an act of displaying kindness and concern for others. It is the work or practice of looking after those unable to care for themselves, especially the elderly.

Care of elderly people presents several significant challenges, especially patients with impaired communication or cognitive status deficits. It takes a special team to give this unique population the care that they both need and deserve.

F.I.L.D., Inc is unique in that we perform duties that may not be associated with a typical home health agency. Below you will find information about each unit of our Senior Compassionate Care Professional Advisor Unit (SCCPA):

Senior Compassionate Care Professional Advisor Unit (SCCPA)

 

When it comes to caregiving, one size does not fit all. Care for our clients can vary by age, gender, and cultural background. And, those that we care for are just as diverse. Senior Compassionate Care Professional Advisor Unit (SCCPA) is specifically designed to support our clients unique needs. The program empowers you with the information and resources needed so that we may provide exceptional care while ensuring we take care of your loved ones well-being.

Our program specializes in taking care of an adult family member (or non-family member) with a disability or chronic illness who needs assistance, 24-hour supervision, meals and more

Compassionate Communication

Provision of “Well Check” phone calls three (3) times a week in the process of Compassionate Communication. Many Seniors live alone and/or have limited opportunities to interact with others which can lead to loneliness, depression, or impact their mental clarity SCCPA will be available to fill the communication void.

Compassionate Care Assistant

Training Individuals to provide services for client to make life manageable, and more comfortable through observation and communication. High school diploma/ GED no medical experience required.

Faith Community Nursing (FCN)

The FCN “works in conjunction with Clergy and Congregation to provide opportunities for ongoing transformation of the Faith Community into sources of Health and healing. FCN serves a Community of Faith, creates safe and sacred place of healing and advocates with compassionate mercy and dignity.”
